Our community came together to celebrate Eritrean Independence Day in a truly vibrant, colourful, and joyful atmosphere. The event was filled with pride, unity, and happiness as families, children, and community members gathered to honour this important national occasion and celebrate Eritrean culture and heritage together.
From the moment guests arrived, the spirit of celebration could be seen everywhere. Children and parents proudly wore beautiful traditional Eritrean clothing and waved Eritrean flags, creating a lively and festive environment full of colour and cultural pride. The event highlighted the importance of preserving traditions and passing cultural values on to the younger generation.
The Tigrinya School staff members worked incredibly hard to organise a wide range of enjoyable indoor and outdoor activities for children and families. There was something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Activities included face painting, nail polishing, darts, skipping games, quizzes, and many other fun community activities that kept children engaged and entertained. Laughter, music, and excitement filled the venue as families spent quality time together and participated in the celebrations.
The event was not only about celebrating Eritrean Independence Day, but also about bringing the community together in a meaningful way. It provided a wonderful opportunity for families to connect, socialise, and strengthen friendships within the community. Children were able to learn more about their culture and traditions while enjoying fun activities in a welcoming and supportive environment.
