We are delighted to announce the successful launch of our new Cooking Lessons programme at the supplementary school. This exciting initiative has been introduced to provide children with valuable life skills while creating a fun, engaging, and educational environment where they can learn, collaborate, and grow in confidence.

The lessons are led by professional chefs who guide the children through every stage of the cooking process, from understanding ingredients and kitchen equipment to preparing and presenting dishes safely and creatively. Under their expert supervision, the children have already achieved an important milestone by preparing their very first homemade macaroni cheese — an accomplishment they were all incredibly proud of.

The programme is designed not only to teach cooking techniques, but also to support the wider personal development of every child involved. Throughout each session, strong emphasis is placed on important values and skills such as:

  • Self-development and confidence building
  • Kitchen and food safety awareness
  • Communication and listening skills
  • Teamwork and cooperation
  • Responsibility and independence
  • Creativity and problem-solving

The children have shown great enthusiasm and determination during the sessions, and it has been wonderful to see them working together, supporting one another, and developing new friendships along the way. The practical nature of the lessons encourages active participation and helps children gain confidence through hands-on learning experiences.

Parents and staff have already noticed the positive impact the programme is having on the children’s confidence, social interaction, and willingness to try new things. Most importantly, the sessions have created a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere where learning is both meaningful and fun.

The cooking lessons are scheduled to continue throughout the semester, and we look forward to seeing the children further develop their culinary abilities and life skills in the weeks ahead. We are extremely grateful to our professional chefs and staff members for their dedication and support in making this programme such a success.

We are excited to continue this journey and cannot wait to share more achievements and delicious creations from our young chefs soon.
